How to Prepare a Song for Mastering

1) When Mixing
Ensure that the mix is well balanced in both mono and stereo, nothing is clipping, and that the master channel is peaking no higher than -6db.

2) When Exporting

Export your song in WAV format (32-bit, 24-bit, or 16-bit, 44.1 kHz or higher) & clearly name your audio file (e.g., “Artist Name - Song Title.wav”).

How to Prepare a Song for Mixing / Mixing + Mastering

1) Exporting Trackouts

Export each audio track individually, without effects, in WAV format (32-bit, 24-bit, or 16-bit, 44.1 kHz or higher) & clearly name each track (e.g., “SongTitle_Main_Vocals”, “SongTitle_Guitar”)

Please be sure that each trackout is the full length of the song, and that each vocal/instrument begins where it should.

2) Organization

Create a folder for the song. Inside this folder, include all individual trackouts. Before uploading, compress the folder into a ZIP file.

On Windows, right-click the folder and select "Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder".

On Mac, right-click the folder and select "Compress".

When Sending Multiple Songs

For Mixing / Mixing + Mastering: Please collect all song folders in another folder, and compress the latter as explained above.

For mastering: Please place all .wav files in a folder, and compress as explained above.
